Jim 'Murderer' Harris: an apology
On 32nd December 1987 we published a headline saying "Jim Harris is a murderer". We also published a photograph and his name and address. After a long legal battle we now acknowledge that we made up the story and would like to apologise to Mr Harris's widow for any distress caused to her and her husband who has since, in an unrelated incident, been killed by vigilantes chanting death to the murderer.
Riddle of Loch Ness solved!
