• Why are fine artists designing T shirts?
• Good question! It relates to our philosophy of fine art. We believe that fine art has been ghettoized and kept rigidly in art galleries. We also believe that this is not the best place for art, that it should be everywhere, visible and available to all. Hence we have work on T shirts so that it can be seen everywhere. T shirts are a much better canvas than a...canvas, if that's possible. More people see T shirts than go to art galleries, so it seemed a natural progression. That's not to say that we don't display work in galleries, but on the street a T shirt gets a difference audience, which is something we are very interested in.
